Regina Skeeters
Vocalist and songwriter Regina Reneé Skeeters is one of the most innovative and courageous solo artists of today. The South Carolina native has created a rich blend of Christian/Urban Contemporary music that is undeniably incredible. She has been devoted to the anointed delivery of gospel music since her childhood. Raised by her parents, the late Eugene Skeeters and Jean Blain Skeeters, she began developing an exceptional gift for music at an early age while singing at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Throughout her youth and well into her high school years, Ms. Skeeters' amazing voice dazzled audiences as she sang with different groups. Upon entering college, Ms. Skeeters continued to develop her unique vocal style and writing abilities as she pursued new musical prospects.
During her tenure at Benedict College, Ms. Skeeters served as an instrumental member of the award-winning Benedict College Gospel Choir and the Concert Choir. She was voted top alto vocalist at the National Collegiate Gospel Competition. She wrote and sang lead vocals on the soulful hit "Put All My Trust" for the Benedict College Gospel Choir's debut album (Say the Word) in 2000. The song was voted the Most Requested Song of 2001 on the nationally recognized inspirational radio station -Gospel 95.3 WFMV- in Columbia, South Carolina. She also co-wrote "Will You Be Ready" on Hymns of Preparation with national recording artist Terence Young. . In October 2004, Ms. Skeeters released her debut album entitled "Breathe On Me". After five years, her long awaited EP "Relationship" was released in 2009. Along with juggling a demanding music career, this young woman found the time to land the leading role of Mary in Walter Rutledge's "Soulful Noel" with Jennifer Holiday.
Ms. Skeeters has assisted music departments in various organizations including Perfecting Faith Ministries C.O.G.I.C, and Universal Outreach Ministries C.O.G.I.C. In April of 2009, Regina was afforded the opportunity to facilitate praise and worship workshops for C.O.G.I.C District 3 in Sao Paulo Brazil under Superintendant Ivo Mariano. She is currently the praise and worship leader for Journey United Methodist Church where Dr. George Ashford Jr. is the pastor. Ms. Skeeters is a committed member of Life Center Ministries of Columbia. She also serves as one of the praise and worship leaders, under Bishop Brian D. Moore and Pastors Naté & Tarsha Jefferson.
Ms. Skeeters has shared the stage with numerous well-renowned recording artists such as: Beverly Crawford, The Gatlin Brothers, Jonathan Nelson, Ashford and Simpson, BeBe Winans, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Tonéx, Kim Burrell, J. Moss, Ricky Dillard, Donald Lawrence, the late Olanda Draper and many more. From motivational speaking to her delivery of soul-stirring songs, God has allowed Ms. Skeeters to travel across the country nationally and internationally, relaying the message of strength and hope through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
